Our Portfolio Homes give you pre-designed, pre-approved architectural plans designed by one of California’s most award-winning architects: Robert Hidey.

The homes throughout Orinda have always had their own flavor. And over the years, the City of Orinda has gone to great lengths to make sure that this unique style isn’t lost. Our Portfolio homes embrace this heritage, while giving you an inspired and time-efficient path to building your dream home.

Robert Hidey Architects began by immersing themselves in Orinda’s varied architectural styles, from the iconic Orinda Country Club to the more traditional single-family homes. They also studied the Wilder landscape. Bringing these elements together, they created home designs that reflect the local aesthetic as it relates to the land. Low-profile architecture is intended to complement each home’s natural surroundings and fit nicely into the rugged topography. Likewise, the designs promote outdoor areas, including side yards, courtyards, covered outdoor spaces and large pavilion-style rooms.

Wilder’s first homesites are on a quiet lane known as Boeger Ranch Road. The homesites are situated in a way that enhances the sense of intimacy and seclusion. Most are over a half acre in size. They face an elevated landscaped area, which makes it feel as if you don’t have any neighbors across the street. All the backyards are oriented due south, so your home and outdoor spaces will get plenty of sunshine. And right out back is Brookside Creek and Hank’s Hill, an area of classic northern California landscape that has been preserved as natural open space. Here you’ll find Odie’s Trail, which will take you to Frog Pond and connect you with the rest of the Wilder trail system. It’s a good place to start the neighborhood.
